Every year in my classroom I have a Grinch themed day, and as a sweet to end the day and school year I always gift one of these to each student. They are always so excited to receive them!

Start by gathering your supplies- You should grab a chocolate melting pot, some hot cocoa bomb molds, cupcake liners, sandwich bags, and clear bags to put them in. I will link my favorite items at the end of the blog.

Step 1. Melt some green chocolate melting chips in your pot. It takes about 20 minutes for them to completely melt so make sure to plan ahead. You will know they are ready when you can easily stir them with a spoon and they have smooth texture.

Step 2. Use your spoon to make a coating on the bomb molds. I like to start by spooning some on the rim of each mold and smoothing it down the sides. I then put a plop of the chocolate in the bomb and smooth that out. Do a coat in each of your molds.

Step 3. Put those babies in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. While they are cooling down melt just a little bit of red melting chocolates in the microwave. When itis all melted put them in sandwich bag and pipe some heart shapes onto tin foil to stick in the fridge. You don't want them to be too big as they will sit on top of the cocoa bombs.

Step 4. Take them out and put another thin coat of chocolate in each bomb mold. Back in the fridge they go.

Step 5. Heat up a small pan on the lowest possible setting. Pop out half of your bombs. Take one side of the shell and rub it in the pan so the rim gets smooth and is pretty even all around. Do this for half of the shells. Set aside. This is an important step so they close properly!

Step 6. Fill the side of the shell you just smoothed with hot chocolate and of course some marshmallows. You want them to pop out as the chocolate melts.

Step 7. Now take the other sides of the shell out of the molds. Rub them one by one in the pan that has been heating. As they are still hot with melted chocolate pop them on top of the half of the shell that has the hot chocolate. The melted chocolate will seal against the other have keeping everything inside.

Now you could stop here- Put them in a cupcake liner and bag them, but we want them to look pretty right? So lets put a little decoration on them.

Step 8. Melt a little bit more red chocolate. Pipe a small dot on the top of your bomb. Peel your heart off the tin foil and stick it on the dot. Voila! you have a bakery quality hot chocolate bomb all ready to go! Enjoy!
